Home-made veggie and cheese pizza from scratch…yum!
To make the dough, you’ll need:
1/2 cup warm water
1 envelope or 2 1/4 tsp instant yeast
1 1/4 cup water lukewarm
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 cups bread flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
Sprinkle the yeast into the water until its dissolved; let it sit for about 5 minutes. Put a dull blade into a food processor (some come with mixing attachments or a plastic blade to blend doughs.)
Pulse the salt and flour together briefly, then turn the mixer on and add the liquid ingredients slowly until the dough comes together. It will stick in a ball and roll around inside the processor. When it hits that point, put it on a well-floured counter and knead it like it owes you money!
Knead hard for about 2 minutes, then form it into as smooth of a ball as you can make. Place it in a well-oiled bowl, cover and let rise for 2 hours.
Come back in 2 hours and give the dough a good smack to deflate it. Take it out of the bowl and shape it by hand (or with a rolling pin.) If you use your hands, pat it down and then stretch and poke with your fingers to get it to the shape you want.
